FAQs / Help

How long is the show and is there an interval?

The performance is roughly two hours. This includes a 20 minute interval.

Where can we book tickets for the circus?

You can book tickets at any time by visiting our website https://giffordscircus.com/book-tickets/. Or you can telephone our booking line on 01453 800 200 which is manned 9:30 to 16:30. Alternatively, during tour you can buy tickets in person by visiting our onsite box office which is open Thursday to Monday 9.30 to 16.30.

I want to bring my whole family, is the show suitable for everyone?

Absolutely! Circus is for everyone and our show has something for every age to enjoy.

Is there food available on site?

We have lots of food options available on site, we have our 80 cover travelling restaurant Circus Sauce which can be booked here https://giffordscircus.digitickets.co.uk/category/50634, our café wagon and bar, sweets and ice cream available from our Front of House tent and of course candy floss and popcorn.

Can we park at the circus?

With the exception of Chiswick House and Gardens we have designated car parking on site, in the field at each ground. We ensure that we have accessible parking near to the tent at each site with a car parking marshal to direct. Please note that cars are parked entirely at the owners risk, the management will not accept responsibility for any accident, damage or loss.

Can I bring a wheelchair to the performance?

Yes, we have a number of wheelchair spaces available in the tent. Please select a wheelchair ticket when booking online or call our box office on 01453 800 200.

For any other accessibility arrangements in the tent, please call or email the box office on info@giffordscircus.com so that we can best accommodate your party.

A complimentary carers ticket is available if you require assistance or support during your visit.

Accessibility

The seating in the tent is traditional tiered seating, up steps. The benches have small backs to them and cushions on the seats. We can arrange for access up only two shallow steps into the main seating area and also have level access for wheelchair ticket holders. Ear defenders are available on request.

A complimentary carers ticket is available if you require assistance or support during your visit.

Please let us know any accessibility requirements in advance of the day of your show, as we may not be able to accommodate on the day and it will not always be possible to seat large groups together. You can make a note of any requirements when booking online or by contacting the box office directly.

Accessible parking is marked out nearer to the tent. When reaching the car park attendant, do let them know, and they will be able to direct you. Please note that we don't have any parking at Chiswick House and Gardens. Please also be aware that some of the grounds we visit may be rutted and undulating in places, so care may be needed. All the grounds are located on grass and can get muddy after wet weather.

There are accessible Portaloo units at every ground.

When you reach the Circus, speak to one of the Front of House team in the burgundy jackets, and they will direct you to the correct entrance of the tent. We will start letting you in 35 minutes before the start of the show. The main doors will then open 30 minutes before the start of the show.

You can ask our Box Office team any specific questions regarding access and make any arrangements by calling 01453 800200 or emailing info@giffordscircus.com

Can I bring an Assistance or Guide Dog to the show?

Assistance and Guide Dogs are welcome at Giffords Circus and can accompany their owners into the tent, with the exceptions of when their presence may pose a safety risk or disruption.

Assistance and Guide Dogs are not permitted inside the tent during the dog and horse acts. During these performances we will ask that the dog is removed from the tent. The Front of House team will assist with this and can watch your dog during these acts if you wish to remain in the tent, however you are still responsible for the welfare of the animal.

We will reserve you seating on the end of a row to cause as little disruption as possible.

Owners are responsible for the behaviour and welfare of their Assistance and Guide Dogs throughout the show and must ensure that they do not disturb other guests or performers and that they are always under control. If they do disturb the show, for example barking, then we reserve the right to ask the individual to leave the premises.

You must let us know in advance of the day if you will be bringing a Assistance and Guide Dogs to the show. This allows for better preparation and support to be provided.

If you have any questions, please contact our Box Office on 01453 800200.

What time can we arrive on the day and when can we go into the tent?

Front of House, food and drink wagons open an hour before the start of the show with the tent doors opening half an hour before the show. People like to queue up to make sure they get good seats so arriving early is recommended!

If we arrive late are we still allowed in?

Yes, a member of the Front of House team will be able to help find you seats if you are running late. Please be aware that we will ask you to wait if you arrive during an animal act as we can’t have people moving round the tent whilst there are horses in the ring. If it’s a full house we may not be able to guarantee seats all together if arriving late.

Do our tickets mean we have allocated seating in the tent?

All our seating is unreserved, this means that those who join the front of the queue get first choice of seats. Our Front of House team do sometimes reserve certain seats in the tent, this is normally for accessibility reasons.

Do you have animals in the show?

Yes, a love of horses is at the very heart of our circus, we believe they are essential to our show. We also have dogs in our shows. We pride ourselves in how we keep our animals, you can read about how we train and look after them here: https://giffordscircus.com/about-giffords/our-animals/

Can I take photographs of the show?

Yes, we love people taking photographs and short film clips of the show to remember Giffords by and to share the magic. We just ask that there is no flash photography.

We are coming to a 11am move day performance, what can I expect?

Our 11am performances happen on a move day when the circus heads to the next show ground. The show is unaffected but the options front of house are more limited. Sweet treats, drinks and merchandise are available before the show and during the interval, however there will be a reduced offering from our Cafe wagon.

We’re celebrating a birthday at the circus, can we have a shout out in the show?

We are very happy to do birthday shout outs during the show! Please let the box office know or tell one of the Front of House team, shout outs are after the interval so make sure to head back into the tent when you hear the music start up!

Why are different shows different prices?

We have a range of different price bands for our show which reflects peak times, school holidays, quieter week days etc, our Monday move day shows, where there are limited options are reduced to reflect this. All tickets for each show are the same price band as seating is unreserved.

Where are my tickets?

Your email confirmation is also your E-Ticket. This has a QR code at the top, which is scanned as you enter the tent. You can bring it along on your phone or printed out. These will be sent from noreply@digitickets.co.uk, we recommend adding this address to your email contacts to ensure that your tickets don’t end up in spam folders.

If you chose to have a printed copy sent to you, then these are posted out weekly and consist of an A4 sheet of paper with a QR code on the top.

Any problems do call our box office on 01453 800200 or email info@giffordscircus.com

I got the wrong day/time, can I exchange my tickets?
